With the date and venue still to be revealed, Frazer Clarke says he’s prepared for the heavyweight sequel.
All signs point towards a rematch between Frazer Clarke and Fabio Wardley, who battled to a split draw in a fierce battle when they faced off back in March. The fight was a natural one to run back, and now Clarke tells Sky Sports that he’s officially agreed to the rematch with the particulars still to be announced.
“It’s agreed and it’s on, I’m always getting asked on the street when is the rematch happening, I can’t give that information yet but we are back on and you’ll get the news very soon,” Clarke told Sky Sports.
Clarke would continue by saying he’ll be entering the rematch with a lot of confidence from his performance in the first meeting, as he hopes to show even more in the next one despite the roller coaster he’s experienced.
“I’m going in there to do one thing and that’s to knock Fabio Wardley out, winning won’t be enough for me. I want to put a job on him, but it will be a tough task just like the first one. May the best man win, but I’m backing myself.”
Wardley gained Clarke’s respect when the pair first met in the ring, which Clarke readily admits, so says he doesn’t expect to engage in much of any trash talk leading into this next fight. Instead he just expects fans to see two competitors go at it with the better man on the night getting their hand raised.
