Teofimo Lopez says he’s not really bothered by his split with Team Canelo.

During a live stream Teofimo Lopez spent some time taking some not-so-subtle shots at Canelo Alvarez as he discusses his split from Team Canelo. So when Lopez was asked about his thoughts on this fall’s fight between Terence Crawford and Canelo, Lopez offered these thoughts.

“I’m gonna go for Crawford because then let’s say he beats Canelo, that’s gives me ammunition because when I fight him and beat Crawford, [I] beat Canelo,” Lopez said.

“The Canelo team don’t want Teofimo. Not our fault, bro. It’s whatever the champ wants. It’s alright, bro. I don’t want to be heavy, flat-footed, planted, anyways. I’m a boxer, pretty damn good boxer too.

“I want to ask you guys something, a lot of people chewed my ass about not knowing how to cut the ring off, right? But Canelo, he fought William Scull and he could not cut the ring off but nobody butchered him about it. So, ‘cause I’m not Canelo?”

Lopez is most recently coming off of a decision win over Arnold Barboza earlier this month and looks towards a bigger fight.
