Jake Paul says he knows he can beat Anthony Joshua, but wants no part of David Beanvidez.
Jake Paul says he wants to fight Anthony Joshua and knows he can beat him, but he wants nothing to do with facing David Benavidez.
Paul discussed the ideas while seated next to Benavidez on the “BS w/ Jake Paul” show yesterday.
“(My manager) is talking about all these potential fights, and I’m like, yes, no, and the only no is (David Benavidez),” Paul said. “I will not fight this fucking guy, he’s a fucking monster. I’m just gonna fucking die, bro. I know my boundaries.
“I want to fight Anthony Joshua, because I know that I will fucking beat Anthony Joshua’s ass. He doesn’t have a chin and he has no skill and he’s stiff. And I love you, Anthony, we’re friends, all this shit, but I want to fight you.
“I will beat Canelo, I will beat a lot of fucking people, I will not beat David Benavidez. I would get torn up, bro. This guy is different. He’s different.”
Paul (11-1, 7 KO) last fought in November, beating a 58-year-old shell of Mike Tyson over eight rounds, and has never been in the ring with anyone near the level of either Benavidez or Joshua, who nearly took off Francis Ngannou’s entire skull the last time he faced a novelty boxer.
