Jeison Rosario believes his draw with Jarrett Hurd in August has served him well ahead of his next outing in Las Vegas.
Rosario and fellow former junior middleweight champion Hurd fought in a ProBox TV main event near Tampa in Florida and, training under Bob Santos, Rosario returns to the ring at the T-Mobile on February 1 against Jesus Alejandro Ramos Jnr as part of the David Benavidez-David Morrell bill.
“My last fight really tested me,” the 24-4-2 (18 KOs) Rosario said. “It gave me what I needed going into this fight with Ramos. I’m ready to seize this moment and make the most of it.”
Rosario was born in the Dominican Republic but fights out of Miami.
“I’m very grateful for this opportunity and most of all, I can’t wait to show the fans what I’ve been working on. My plan is to make it a great night. I can’t wait for the bell to ring… I’m gonna shock the world and bring home the victory.”
Arizona’s Ramos Jnr is 21-1 (17 KOs) but has boxed just once since a decision loss to Erickson Lubin in September 2023, and that was a ninth-round win over Las Vegas-based Venezuelan veteran Johan Gonzalez last May.
