Middleweight Jeison Rosario has described four-division world titlist Terence Crawford as the best fighter at 154 and expressed his desire to share the ring with the legend.

Dominican Republic’s Rosario, 29, is set to slug it out with Jesus Ramos of Arizona, 23, in a 10-round contest on the undercard of David Benavidez-David Morrell at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Ahead of his clash with Ramos, Rosario rated the best fighters at the 154-pound division. “I would like to fight Crawford and I also think he’s the best fighter at 154,” Rosario told BoxingScene.

There are three champions in the junior middleweight division – Crawford (WBA champion), Sebastian Fundora (WBC/WBO champion), and Bakhram Murtazaliev (IBF champion) – who could be potential opponents for Rosario in the future.

Crawford moved to 154 to challenge Israil Madrimov in August, outpointing the Russian to snatch the WBA belt. Before becoming a champ at junior middleweight, Crawford, 41-0 (31 KOs), held undisputed championships in the junior welterweight and welterweight divisions.

For Rosario, 24-4-2 (18 KOs), it would be a dream come through to share the ring with Crawford.

“This is a dream fight for most fighters and I’m no exception. Crawford has proved to be one of the greatest fighters of his generation and I want to be part of that history.”
