In front of a lively crowd at York Hall in Bethnal Green, heavyweights Johnny Fisher and Alen Babic weighed in ahead of their fight at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Fisher was well-supported, as always, and the weigh-ins passed without incident, with only cruiserweights John Hedges and Lewis Oakford swapping some verbal exchanges.
Babic called his fight with Fisher “a gift from the Gods,” and said he was looking to get back on track after defeat to Lukasz Rozanski. “This is my ‘Savage’ show,” he added. “It’s going to be very painful for them [Fisher’s fans]. I feel bad for them. I hope it’s going to be a glorious 10 round war and we’re going to spend weeks in hospital.”
Fisher shouted to his fans, “I’ve got one question, who’s ready for a scrap at the Copper Bosh [as he calls it]?”
“Every single one of my fights is bigger than the last one, we’ve got to keep moving in the right direction.”
