Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and MVP’s Nakisa Badarian are in deep negotiations for a trilogy bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Taylor and Serrano were involved in another spectacular contest in November for the undisputed junior welterweight titles, with Taylor winning a razor-close decision. That was the second time the pair had entertained fans; their first fight was another close battle, in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, which also ended in a disputed Taylor win.

There has been talk of Taylor facing Chantelle Cameron, the only woman to beat her, in a trilogy after she avenged her sole defeat in November 2023. Hearn has revealed that Taylor is considering making her first trilogy bout with Serrano instead.

“I think she’ll fight Amanda Serrano,” Hearn told BoxingScene. “We’re in deep, I guess, negotiations with Nakisa and MVP now that are going very well. I think everybody realizes the size of that fight, and it’s a brilliant fight.

“They’ve had two Fight of the Year contenders. They could fight 10 times and get Fight of the Year contenders. So, hopefully, we can close that with Nakisa and give fight fans another huge night.”
