In only the sixth bout of his professional boxing career, Kevin Brown has been placed in a step-up bout against a very tough opponent. The winner of this Friday night main event will become the new WBA Continental super-lightweight champion.

A native of Camaguey, Cuba, Kevin Brown was a decorated amateur who posted a record of 301 wins and 19 losses. He made his professional debut back in August 2022 when he defeated Jose Alberto Gazo by way of 2nd round TKO.

The last time Brown competed inside the ring was four months ago when he fought Idalberto Umara. Brown faced adversity as he was dropped in the fourth, but he managed to rally back and earn a split-decision victory.  Now the 30-year-old Kevin Brown is set to face his toughest opponent to date.

A native of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico who currently resides in New Jersey, John Bauza placed himself on the radar back in December 2021. En route to his 4th round KO win, Bauza knocked Michael Williams Jr down a total of five times.

After defeating Tony Luis by way of a unanimous decision, Bauza stepped up to face highly ranked contender Richardson Hitchins. It was a tough night for Bauza as he suffered his first loss as a professional.

He would bounce back in March 2024 when he scored a 1st round TKO victory over Willmank Cano Jr. Now, the 26-year-old John Bauza is ready to make a statement on Friday night against a rising contender who is currently ranked 14th by the WBA.

Boxlab Promotions and Most Valuable Promotions are becoming known for their collaborations in putting together entertaining 50-50 matchups. On Friday night, September 6th, the Kevin Brown vs. John Bauza bout is expected to be an action-packed, fan-friendly contest.
