Keyshawn Davis hinted that three-belt light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev has been cheating to get his power ahead of his fight against Dmitry Bivol. The lightweight contender Keyshawn says that IBF, WBC, and WBO 175-lb champion Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) is “Unnaturally strong” and that if he “comes natural” for his fight against WBA champ Bivol (23-0, 12 KOs) this Saturday night in Riyadh, he’ll lose.

Fans are criticizing Keyshawn for hinting that the two-time Olympian Beterbiev is a cheat, as he’s never tested positive for PEDs during his 11-year professional career, and he’s always been a big puncher since his amateur days in Russia.
He’s a guy that is blessed with enormous power and has the ability to throw short punches with a lot of steam. Most fighters have to load up to generate power, but Beterbiev doesn’t have to.
“I’m not going to say that because I’m going to be in the headlines, but I’m going to go with the boxer always. I’m going to go with Bivol for sure,” said Keyshawn Davis to Fighthype, picking Dmitry Bivol to defeat Artur Beterbiev on Saturdday night in Riyadh.
“Beterbiev, he’s so unnaturally strong,” said Keyshawn while widening his eyes in a hint that something isn’t right with Beterbiev. “It’s hard to beat unnatural s*** if you understand what I’m saying. If he comes natural, Bivol should win. But if he comes unnaturally strong, it’s hard beating something like that.”
If Bivol loses, it won’t be due to anything unnatural on Beterbiev’s part. He’s a better fighter than Bivol, who has already shown chin problems in the past against lesser fighters.
If Keyshawn had the kind of power that Beterbiev possessed, he’d be a more popular fighter and a lightweight, and he wouldn’t be struggling with the lesser fighters that Top Rank has been feeding him. He’s not looked good in two out of his last three fights against Miguel Madueno and Nahir Albright.
It’s pretty clear from watching those fights that Keyshawn isn’t going anywhere, and Top Rank wasted their time signing him after his loss to Cuba’s Andy Cruz in the 2020 Olympics. They should have signed Cruz rather than Keyshawn. It was a mistake on their part.
