The knockout artist Emanuel Navarrete will be fighting tonight against unbeaten #1 WBO Denys Berinchyk (22-0, 9 KOs) for the vacant WBO lightweight title in the headliner on ESPN in San Diego, California. The main card starts at 10:30 p.m. ET in this Top Rank-promoted show, live on ESPN.
B24 will give live updates & results below.
Navarrete (38-1-1, 31 KOs) is looking to win his fourth division world title moving up to 135 against the 2012 Olympic silver medalist at the Pechanga Arena.
In addition to the main event, welterweights Givanni Santillan (32-0, 17 KOs) and Brian Norman Jr. (25-0, 19 KOs) fight for the WBO interim title.
That winner of tonight’s Santillan-Norman clash could soon be elevated to full WBO welterweight champion due to the current belt-holder Terence Crawford having moved up to junior middleweight seeking a belt in that division on August 3rd. It’s believed he won’t be returning to 147 to defend any of his three remaining titles.
