Cruiserweight contender Richard Riakporhe, from London, England, is set to return on December 7 against fellow Briton David Jamieson in the unexpected setting of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, Boxium Promotions have announced. The bout will be on the undercard of the WBC welterweight eliminator between Souleymane Cissokho and Egidus Kavaliauskas.

Riakporhe, 17-1 (13 KOs), last fought in June when he was outpointed in a bid to unseat WBO champion Chris Billam-Smith at Selhurst Park Football Ground, the home of soccer team, Crystal Palace. The 34-year-old had administered Billam-Smith’s lone loss when he won a 10-round decision in 2019 but he was well beaten over 12 in the sequel.

Jamieson, 12-3 (9 KOs), has won twice since being halted in five rounds by Cheavon Clarke last year. That was an eliminator for the British cruiserweight title he contested in 2022, losing in eight rounds to Mikael Lawal in a battle for the vacant championship.

The 32-year-old Jamieson, from East Kilbride in Scotland, had been expected to fight on November 23 in Glasgow prior to this latest announcement.

Another Scot, Kyle Lomotey from Leigh, is also set to appear on the Cissokho-Kavaliauskus card against Las Vegas-based junior middleweight prospect Amari Jones, 13-0 (12 KOs). Lomotey, a southpaw, is 12-2 (2 KOs).
