Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing VADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) questions whether people are getting “some kind of cut money to use VADA.”
Garcia Rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. That means if there will be a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will need to be used.
If Bill insists on only VADA, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims that’s the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, the rematch might not happen unless another drug testing agency is used.
It shouldn’t matter to Bill which agency is used. As long as there’s testing, that’s the important thing, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting beaten up again. He looked hellishly bad the last time he fought Ryan in 2024.
That would be bad for Haney because he’s a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and he will get beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry sooner or later once he faces someone decent.
“It’s getting really strange why it’s always VADA. Can we get some other organizations to test. Cause you got Bill [Haney] pushing only VADA. He never says any other organizations, and it’s strange [that] he’s pushing a certain organization. Don’t you just want any kind of testing? All this sounds like the people pushing to use VADA are getting some type of cut money-wise to have people use VADA. Seems unethical. This is just my opinion,” said Ryan Garcia on X about his wondering why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but that organization I will never use again,” said Ryan about how he’ll never use VADA again.
