Teremoana Teremoana will appear on Matchroom’s December 14th Monte Carlo show
One of Paris 2024’s top prospects, 26-year-old heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana, has joined forces with Matchroom ahead of a December 14th return to the pro ranks on their Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs Ricardo Espinoza show in Monte Carlo.
Teremoana (4-0, 4 KO) has the look of a potential star, standing 6’6″ and possessing the power to consistently stop amateurs in under three rounds. He’s got a number of wins over 2020 bronze medalist Abner Teixeira, knocked out Ukraine’s Dmytro Lovchynskyi in the opening round of the Paris bracket, and subsequently gave Bakhodir Jalolov arguably his toughest fight of the event.
If I had to predict the next great Australian heavyweight, he’s at the top of the list.
“I’m born and raised in Australia but I’m also very proud of my Cook Islands heritage,” said Teremoana. “I come from a long line of warriors and I’m very motivated to carry on the family name. I want the world to know it and I won’t stop until I’ve achieved that.
“I want to be on the world stage and I know that if I put in the work I have the ability to do that. The plan is to continue to build a fan base at home in Australia but also all around the world. I’m excited to get going on this journey and the first stop is Monte Carlo.
“I’ve learned so much over the last few years and really enjoyed the Olympic experience but now it’s time for a new phase in my career. My dream is to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and I believe with Matchroom, GoldStar, and Tasman Fighters behind me I can achieve that. It’s going to be an exciting ride so let’s go!”
