Canelo Alvarez has been on the receiving end of a lot of pre-fight trash talk in his career, and he’s been getting an earful from Edgar Berlanga, who will square off with Canelo on Sept. 14 in Las Vegas.
Canelo (61-2-2, 39 KO) will defend three super middleweight titles that night against Berlanga (22-0, 17 KO), an opponent few expect to be a serious threat to the veteran superstar, with the bloom having coming off the Berlanga hype rose over his last six fights, following a fluke-y career beginning that had ESPN and Top Rank going ga-ga over him.
