Super middleweight Christian Mbilli won a wide but surprisingly competitive 10-round unanimous decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko on Saturday at Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada.
Derevyanchenko (15-6, 10 KOs) has seen more than his share of tough matchups and even tougher luck, and fate struck again Saturday when he suffered a torn biceps during the fight. Yet he managed to make Mbilli (28-0, 23 KOs) work for his win, avoided a stoppage and maintained his unblemished streak of finishing fights on his feet as a pro.

Guido Vianello gradually closed the left eye of Arslanbek Makhmudov and closed the show in the eighth round when the ringside doctor had seen Makhmudov (19-2, 18 KOs) take enough punishment. Vianello (13-2-1, 11 KOs) suddenly looks like a fringe heavyweight contender.
Cuban super middleweight Osleys Iglesias (12-0, 11 KOs) swarmed Sena Agbeko (28-4, 22 KOs), putting him on the deck for the first time in his career and ending his night early with a second-round stoppage.
Twenty-year-old lightweight super-prospect Abdullah Mason dispatched Mike Ohan Jr. (19-3, 9 KOs) inside two rounds, dropping Ohan twice and prompting his corner to end the fight.
Junior lightweight Leila Beaudoin (12-1, 1 KO) earned a unanimous decision over 10 rounds against Bolivia’s Lizbeth Crespo (15-8, 4 KOs), by scores of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 – and to the delight of a crowd that was firmly behind the Quebec native.
Another local of sorts, 19-year-old light heavyweight prospect and Quebec City-born Wilkens Mathieu (10-0, 6 KOs) blanked Facundo NIcolas Galovar (15-12-2, 9 KOs) on all three officials’ scorecards in a six-rounder.
Middleweight Jahi Tucker (12-1-1, 5 KOs) showed promise in winning a wide eight-round decision over Santiago Fernandez (8-2-1, 4 KOs).
Quebec native and junior lightweight Thomas Chabot (11-0, 8 KOs) was pushed but dominated the scoring over eight rounds against Matias Guenemil (10-4-1, 5 KOs) to earn a unanimous decision win.
Two-time Belarusian Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (8-0, 3 KOs) won every frame of an eight-round matchup with Alexis Camejo (8-4-2, 1 KO), continuing his campaign as an undefeated lightweight prospect.
