SAN ANTONIO — Ramon Cardenas and Bryan Acosta both cleared the final hurdles to their 10-round junior featherweight bout, which takes place Saturday night at Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
Cardenas weighed in at the 122lbs limit, while Acosta came in under it at 121.2lbs.
Their fight will headline Saturday’s ProBox TV broadcast, which begins at 6pm ET.
The 29-year-old Cardenas, 25-1 (14 KOs), of San Antonio is fighting for the first time in his hometown since September 2023, while the 26-year-old Acosta, 20-0 (8 KOs), of Hermosillo, Mexico is making his first professional appearance in Mexico. Acosta, who is ranked in the top 15 by the IBF at 126lbs, is fighting for the first time at 122lbs.
In the co-featured bout, Justin Pauldo and Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov both came in at the 135lbs limit for their 10-round lightweight fight.
Pauldo, 17-2 (8 KOs), of Houston, Texas is making his first ring appearance in nearly a year, since his split decision loss to Miguel Madueno, while Rakhimov, 17-1-1 (14 KOs), of Bokhtar, Tajikistan is fighting for the first time since losing his IBF junior-lightweight title to Joe Cordina by split decision in April 2023.
The rest of the main card includes three other bouts.
Michael Angeletti of New Orleans will face Judy Flores of General Santos City, Philippines in a 10-round bantamweight fight. Angeletti, 12-0 (7 KOs), checked in at 117.7lbs while Flores, 14-3 (8 KOs), came in at 118.7lbs. Angeletti, who lives and trains in Houston, won the 2018 USA National Championships and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Geraldo Valdez in August 2024. Flores lost his past bout in October by split decision to Giemel Magramo.
Figo Ramirez, 8-0 (4 KOs), of Dallas, Texas came in at 121.9lbs, while the New York-based spoiler Jose Lopez, 4-3-3, came in at 121.2lbs.
A fifth fight, which will air on the ProBox TV app and YouTube channels but not the Fubo broadcast, matches Rianna Rios, 8-0 (1 KO), of Upper Marlboro, Maryland against Nancy Franco, 19-21-2 (5 KOs), of Guadalajara, Mexico. Rios weighed 117.8lbs while Franco weighed 118lbs.
