Raven Chapman scored a shutout against Yohana Sarabia to defend her WBC International featherweight title. All three judges were in agreement and scored the contest 100-90.
Chapman started fast and in the second round rocked Sarabia with a flurry of punches, but the tough Colombian survived. Sarabia was outclassed for the majority of the contest but gave a good account of herself. Chapman threw everything at Sarabia in the 10th and final round in an attempt to get the stoppage but had to settle for a points victory.
Junior welterweight Brandun Lee picked up a 78-74 points win over Juan Anacona in his first fight with Frank Warren and on British soil. Lee had been inactive for 15 months and seemed happy to go through the motions and pick up some well-needed rounds.
The American started the fight slowly, taking a look at his opponent before increasing the pace in the second. Lee slowed down in the middle rounds and seemed to accept that he would not be getting the 24th stoppage of his career. Lee picked up the pace in the last session but was unable to finish his man and the fight went to the scorecards.
Featherweight prospect Umar Khan impressed again with a win over Kaddour Hmiani. Khan looked like securing his second consecutive stoppage victory after dropping Hmiani in the second round, but the Frenchman returned to his feet.
Khan did most of his best work as a southpaw and switched stances throughout to confuse his opponent. Hmiani had his best round in the sixth, but Khan came back well to pick up a 78-73 points win.
Nephew of headline heavyweight Derek Chisora, Jermaine Dhliwayo made a winning start to his professional career with a 40-36 victory over Engel Gomez. The lightweight impressed early with power shots, and it seemed only a matter of time before he secured the stoppage.
The second and third rounds followed a similar pattern with Dhliwayo chasing Gomez around the ring and landing heavy shots. The debutant hurt Gomez to the body in the fourth, but the fighter used his experience to hear the final bell.
