Serhii Bohachuk lost a majority decision to Vergil Ortiz Jr, Madrimov a unanimous decision to Terence Crawford.
After acquitting themselves well in defeat on prior Riyadh Season shows, super welterweight standouts Serhii Bohachuk and Israil Madrimov will square off in the chief support for Oleksandr Usyk’s December 21st rematch with Tyson Fury.
Bohachuk (24-2, 23 KO) put Vergil Ortiz Jr on the canvas twice in August en route to a razor-thin majority decision loss, while Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KO) became the first man in eight years to take Terence Crawford the distance. They’ve clearly proven themselves as among the best the division has to offer and figure to put on an excellent show.
Up at heavyweight, top prospect Moses Itauma (10-0, 8 KO) makes his fourth appearance of 2024 in an ostensible step-up against Demsey McKean (22-1, 14 KO), who fights for the firs timte since last year’s loss to Filip Hrgovic. Johnny Fisher (12-0, 11 KO) also fights Dave Allen (23-6-2, 18 KO) in a bout unlikely to go past the 90-second mark.
Down at 122, a very well-matched bout pits Dennis McCann (16-0-1, 8 KO) against Peter McGrail (10-1, 6 KO), while Isaac Lowe (25-2-3, 8 KO) meets Lee McGregor (14-1-1, 8 KO) eight pounds north.
