Shakhram Giyasov will fight on the undercard of Jaron “Boots” Ennis-Eimantas Stanionis on April 12 in Atlantic City.

The 16-0 (7 KOs) welterweight is the mandatory challenger for Stanionis’ WBA title – which the Lithuanian will attempt to unify against the IBF champion Ennis – meaning Giyasov would be in line to face the winner.

Uzbekistan’s Giyasov, 31, will aim to show improvements after his last performance – a narrow split decision victory over Miguel Parra in July 2024. Matchroom’s chief executive Frank Smith confirmed the news that Giyasov will feature on the undercard of the appealing welterweight unification.

“Shakhram Giyasov will be on there as well,” Smith told BoxingScene. “Obviously the WBA mandatory for Stanionis, so he’ll be on the card and a whole host of our young US talent.”
