Fight Life Promotion, a Sweden-based promotion headed by Kamran Kabinejad, has struggled for a long time promoting shows at home due to high costs, lack of sponsors and difficulties with getting the “right” fights abroad.

Even as winter rages outside, it’s spring time for FLP with big fights lined up for three of their fighters. Two of them will enter the ring as underdogs while the third is in with a good chance of winning.

First out is Croatian cruiser Marko Calic (15-1, 9 KOs) who returns to professional boxing after trying to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. He fights Albert Ramirez (19-0, 16 KOs) for the vacant WBA International title on February 6 in Montreal, Canada.

Next out is heavyweight Marios Kollias (12-3-1 plus a number of fights on the unlicensed Greek scene) who has been chosen as a “tune-up” opponent for Jared Anderson (17-1, 15 KOs), who suffered a tough loss last time out to Martin Bakole. The Anderson-Kollias fight will take place on February 14, 2025 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. I can say this much: Kollias is not anyone’s tune up opponent but a genuine dangerman. If Anderson underestimates Kollias things can go wrong again.

Finally, reigning Swedish heavyweight champ Pezhman Seifkhani (16-1, 12 KOs) will face his Italian counterpart Eduardo Giustini (17-3, 6 KOs) with the vacant EBU Silver title at stake. Pezhman Seifkhani signed the contract on the evening of January 7, and the fight will go ahead on March 29 in Scandicci, Italy, with the show to be promoted by Rosanna Conti Cavini.
