Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis tried to scare Frank Martin today during their face-off at the final press conference.

Martin’s Reaction and Confidence

When the two were face-to-face, Tank (29-0, 27 KOs) feigned like he would hit Martin (18-0, 12 KOs), who flinched. Tank then laughed and walked away, enjoying his little victory. Martin barely flinched with Tank’s kindergarten intimidation trick, but he wasn’t amused. Tank is trying to make Martin look like a fool rather than respecting him.

It was an odd move, as Martin was ready to counter with a right, and it’s a good thing that he didn’t punch him. The last thing fans needed was to have WBA ‘regular’ lightweight champion Tank cut from this.

“He’s nervous. I got him doing many things he doesn’t normally do,” said Frank Martin to PBC about his thoughts about his face-off with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis at today’s final press conference.

“He knows he’s in there with a livewire, so you guys are going to see on June 15th,” said Martin.

Tank’s Psychological Warfare Backfires

All the psych stuff that Tank is doing is going to backfire on him if he loses the fight, and he’s going to look silly afterward for lack of focus.

Many fans already feel that Mayweather Promotions and PBC have spoonfed him weak opposition his entire career to get him to this point, where he’s the WBA secondary lightweight champion and still unbeaten.

This is the first step up for Tank in his career, and he could fail on Saturday night and wind up looking like a hype job. Martin will be more motivated than ever to beat Tank after today’s behavior from him.

Tank vs. Martin will meet in the headliner this Saturday, June 15th, on PBC on Prime Video PPV at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
