Terence Crawford emerged on social media on Sunday to make a cryptic post, talking about people being “delusional.”

Crawford didn’t mention who he was refereeing to, but it could be Ryan Garcia, who roasted him last week for his “boring,” overrated, “mediocre,” and “stealing” money with his performances.

Ryan trashed Crawford up and down, saying he’d “robbed” his friend Turki Alalshikh with his against Israil Madrimov on August 3rd in a Riyadh Season event on DAZN PPV at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Crawford’s Unrealistic Expectations

Fans have also criticized Crawford for his once-a-year schedule and his lack of interest in fighting Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis or any of the killers at 154. Moreover, they don’t like that Crawford is just holding out for a grand payday against Canelo Alvarez at 168, a division he’s never fought at.

Crawford just wants the fight against Canelo given to him without earning it, and that doesn’t sit right with fans who don’t have it like that in their lives. His attitude is alien to the public because nothing is given to them. It’s just off-putting to the fans how spoiled Crawford has become.

If Crawford would at least run the gauntlet at 168, fighting three or four sharks, fans could tolerate his demands for a Canelo golden parachute. But no, he wants the payday given to him for his 16 years of service. It would be kind of like a gold watch given to someone on retirement, but in this case, it would be mega-millions.

“He’s stealing so much money for putting out mediocre fights that nobody going to watch. You just robbed money from my friend, Turki [Alalshikh], and you’re acting like some top dog,” said Ryan Garcia to the Say Cheese YouTube channel, talking about Terence Crawford, getting a big payday in a boring performance against Israil Madrimov last month on August 3rd.

The fans booed the Crawford vs. Madrimord fight because it was hands down the most underperforming match on the card. With the money Crawford made for the fight, you’d expect more from him.

“You couldn’t even beat this dude’s [backside], who wasn’t even that good,” said Ryan about Crawford. “No, he [Madrimov] wasn’t that good. None of these [fighters] are that good. Terence Crawford hasn’t beaten anybody other than Errol Spence Jr, who went through a car crash. Other than him, who has Terence Crawford actually beat? Name one guy that he beat other than Errol Spence, that’s well known. Who has he beat? Shawn Porter, who was washed.”

Spence was just a shell of himself last year when he fought Crawford. He didn’t look or sound right. On the Internet, there was a before-after interview showing Spence speaking before his car crash and then later when Crawford fought him.

Spence’s speech was slow and labored, and his movement didn’t look the same. This is the version of Spence that Crawford fought. The 34-year-old Shawn Porter was obviously at the end of his career when Crawford fought him.

The Unlikely Canelo Fight

“Dont do that,” said Ryan when told that Crawford wants Canelo Alvarez. “Terence Crawford is an overhyped bum. Somebody has got to say it. You’re an overhyped bum, bro. Stop stealing everybody’s money. You’re not entertaining. You’re boring,” said Ryan.

It doesn’t look like Crawford is going to get the Canelo fight. So Ryan doesn’t really need to worry about what would happen if Crawford moved up to 168, and was worked over by the bigger, stronger, and more talented Canelo. The Mexican star knows better than to indulge Crawford because he wouldn’t receive credit from the fans if he were to fight him.
