Frank Warren’s Queensberry have announced the latest in their The Magnificent Seven fight cards, which have been hosting some of the best bouts in Britain, particularly post-pandemic.

Most notably, BBBofC British Middleweight champion Nathan ‘The Hitman’ Heaney (18-0-1) will be revisiting his enthralling March bout with ‘The Newquay Bomb’ Brad Pauls (18-1-1). Last time out, the Stoke-on-Trent champion, who had previously upset Denzel Bentley (19-3-1), fought Pauls to the bitter end, with the bout proving extremely hard to score.

Many would favour Pauls for his superior shot selection, although Heaney would tough it out round-after-round. This rematch will be sure to ignite, with both warriors seeking to settle the score, without letting it go to the scorecards.

IBO World Super Bantamweight champion Liam Davies (16-0) would win his honours last time out in a bout against the ‘Terrible’ and tough Mexican Erik Robles Ayala (15-2). This time, the Telford lad will be putting it on the line against ‘Maverick’ Shabaz Masoud (12-0), who currently holds WBA Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight honours.

This will be thoroughly entertaining, with the two undefeated super bantamweights looking to make statements as they put it all on the line.

New Queensberry signing Chantelle Cameron (18-1) will make her debut for the promotion as she takes on Elhem Mekhaled (16-2), as she looks to receive the vacant WBO Interim World Super Lightweight title.

Failing to secure a third fight with Katie Taylor (23-1), she will be looking to earn her shot the hard way; securing the Interim and setting herself up for the trilogy. ‘The Diamond’, however, will have other plans.

The French fighter will be looking at a chance of redemption, after losing her shot at world honours against Alycia Baumgardner (15-1).

Also looking at a chance at redemption is David Adeleye (12-1), the former WBO European Heavyweight title holder who will be looking to chase Fabio Wardley (17-0-1) through earning the BBBofC English Heavyweight title, held by ‘The Real Deal’ Solomon Dacres (8-0), who is coming off a disappointing malaise of a win against Michael Webster (10-1).

This is shaping up to be a blistering bout, with Adeleye seeking to re-establish himself after a delayed lay-off and Dacres looking to prove his worth and power after a shaky defence, last time around.

Ekow ‘The Engine’ Essuman (19-1) makes his return after a loss to Derby’s Harry Scarff (13-3). The one-time holder of BBBofC British, Commonwealth Boxing Council, IBF European and WBC International Silver Welterweight titles will be aiming to calibrate himself with a win over Worcester local Owen Cooper (10-0).

Cooper, the current BBBofC English and WBO European Welterweight titlist is a rather excellent fighter, having gone down the traditional route, earning prestigious titles in the process. A win over a name as established as Essuman would advance his progress further.

Underdog Ashley Lane (18-10-2) comes off an impressive turn-around win against Chris Bourke (13-2) at York Hall in March. Joining the ranks of The Magnificent Seven, he puts the BBBofC British and Commonwealth Boxing Council Bantamweight titles on the line against Liverpudlian Andrew Cain (11-1).

Cain, younger than ‘Flash’ and having a degree experience in his short career, will be a major threat to the elder of the British bantamweight scene.

Also of note, Ezra ‘The Cannon’ Taylor (8-0) looks to make moves into the promising British light-heavyweight division, as the Commonwealth Silver Light Heavyweight title appears to be in sight for the young Nottingham resident.

With fights from the English level through to Interim World titles, Birmingham will be privy to brilliant barn-burners and bust-ups in abundance on July 20th.
