Could we see Fury vs Klitschko again with Klitschko nearing his 50th birthday?

Turki Alalshikh says he wants to see a rematch between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko, which — if it were to happen in 2025 — would come at or just under 10 years after their first meeting.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani and Ade Oladipo, Alalshikh said, “I am dreaming to see this fight. To give a chance, if he accepts, for Klitschko to get back and have a chance to be the oldest heavyweight champion ever.”

When it was pointed out that Klitschko, who hasn’t fought since a 2017 loss to Anthony Joshua, will turn 49 in late March, Alalshikh said, “This is perfect.”

“Of course, he won’t fight Usyk if he (beats Fury),” the Saudi promoter added. “Two heroes from Ukraine will not fight each other. (Fury) is the dream.”

Fury (34-1-1, 24 KO) rematches Usyk on Dec. 21 in Riyadh for three heavyweight titles, of course, and defeated Klitschko (64-5, 53 KO) by decision in a dreadfully awful but certainly memorable fight in late 2015 in Germany. It ended a long reign atop the division for Klitschko, and set in motion a new era in heavyweight boxing.

Fury vs Klitschko 2 would draw attention and certainly a good amount of money, but it’s also a dreadful idea. Yes, George Foreman won a world heavyweight title at age 45 when he knocked out Michael Moorer in 1994, and fought on until age 48. But that Foreman journey began when he was 38 in 1987 after a decade out of the ring,
