Nahir Albright scored a big win for himself over the weekend which kicked off some drama backstage.

Following his win over Kelvin Davis over the weekend — which led to a locker room melee started by brother Keyshawn Davis — Nahir Albright talks to boxing reporters about exactly what transpired in his locker room.

Albright on what happened after his win over Kelvin Davis

“I was in my locker room celebrating my victory with my team and Keyshawn and his little brother came in and they started looking at me and saying something about his older brother like they was mad, and he like grabbed me, pushed me back. I’m like grabbing his hand, he like moved his head towards my head, got like a little [knot]. He like headbutted me.”

On if he did anything after the fight to provoke Keyshawn

“No. Actually, like I said, I was in the locker room, their locker room is right next door to mine and I guess they heard us like happy and all that kind of stuff. They came in and started trouble.”

On why he think Keyshawn reacted that way

“I mean, they upset that their brother lost. Poor sportsmanship. I’ve never been through this, I’ve never seen no one go through this.”

On his opinion on the official scores

“I thought 95-95 was crazy but I was hoping they wouldn’t rob me and they got it right.”

On if he plans to pursue legal action against Keyshawn

“I’ll have to talk to my team and we’ll see what we’re going to do.”

On a rematch with Keyshawn

“That’s definitely an option. I definitely want to get it poppin’ in the ring.”
