Jake Paul lectured retired former 168-lb champion Carl Froch for begging for a fight against him, labeling him “salty” and “broke” at this point in his life.
The 47-year-old Froch, who now works as a boxing analyst and commentator, trashed the ultra-wealthy influencer turned boxer for beating the shell of Mike Tyson last Friday night in Arlington, Texas.
Froch seemed to get upset, reacting to Jake beating and helping out 58-year-old Tyson in an eight-rounder that was watched by 60 million on Netflix. Mike Tyson’s purse for the Paul fight is a reported $20 million, which doubles his current estimated net worth of $10M.
Jake Offers Froch a Job
After watching the Jake-Tyson spectacle, Froch posted a long, rambling, venom-spitting YouTube video on his channel, scolding the 27-year-old Paul for beating Mike Tyson. Froch then said he would knock Jake out in one round, calling him “useless.”
“I’d knock you out in 30 seconds; you are USELESS,” said Carl Froch on X, reacting to being roasted by Jake Paul for being broke and begging for a fight against him. “I’ve had enough…Jake Paul, I will tie one arm behind my back and finish you for good 💪🏼🤡”
In his post, Froch mentions Jake’s girlfriend and seems to be trying hard to anger Jake enough to agree to a fight. It was so utterly obvious what Froch’s motivation was, and surprisingly, Jake lowered himself to respond.
Jake Paul’s Rebuttal
“F**** sore loser. Shut the f*** up. I’ve done more in four years than you have in your life. First and last time I respond to your broke, salty a**. Let me know if you want to wash my cars,” said Jake Paul on X.
Froch retired in the prime of his career in 2014 and missed out on big paydays he could have gotten against Gennadiy Golovkin, Canelo Alvarez, and Artur Beterbiev if he hadn’t hung up his gloves so early. Some fans think Froch was too chicken to stick around to fight any of those killers, so he retired and is now haunted by regret over his missed chances.
