The rising prospect Curmel Moton has taken to social media to issue an apology to the New Jersey State Athletic Commission.

The Mayweather Promotions starlet, 18, weighed in at 147.8lbs for a fight made at 133lbs on the Swift Promotions show on November 30, and Moton, from Las Vegas, initially blamed not fighting on the commission and delays in his bloodwork.

The 6-0 (5 KOs) Moton had been due to face the 11-6-1 (6 KOs) Bryan Mercado at ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City, New Jersey, but their fight was cancelled.

“I want to apologize to the New Jersey Athletic Commission and my fans,” he posted. The commission had nothing to do with what happened last week. God willing, I’ll be back in the ring soon.

Moton, who has been added to the December 30 bill that involves Ryan Garcia, serving a ban in the sport for the use of PEDs, boxing in an exhibition in Japan.
