Gervonta ”Tank’ Davis returns from a long absence from the ring to defend his WBA secondary 135-lb title against Frank Martin tonight in their 12-round headliner on PBC on Prime Video PPV. The event starts at 8 pm. ET.
Benavidez Targets Light Heavyweight Title
The co-feature clash between David Benavidez and Oleksandr Gvozdyk is a little more evenly matched than the main event.
Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs), who is confident of his abilities and isn’t afraid to let people know about them, is moving up to 175 for the first time to fight Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs) for the WBC interim light heavyweight title.
The winner of this fight will get a big money fight for the undisputed championship at 175, likely in Saudi Arabia. That’s why Benavidez has chosen to move up from 168.

Fans are interested in seeing how Tank Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) will do against his first A-level career opponent when he defends against Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs). These guys are huge punchers with a seek and destroy style about them.
Martin, 29, returns from an 11-month layoff, and he looks like he put himself through the wringer to make weight on Friday. He’ll have plenty of time to rehydrate before tonight’s fight against Tank Davis in their headliner.
If Davis comes through this fight with an impressive win, he could fight a unification clash next against the IBF lightweight champion.
